Overview

Neora Valley National Park is a pristine wilderness nestled in the Kalimpong hills of West Bengal, bordering Sikkim and Bhutan. One of India’s richest ecological zones, the park is renowned for its diverse flora, including rare orchids, ferns, bamboo groves, and vibrant rhododendron forests. It is also a paradise for birdwatchers, offering sightings of numerous rare and endemic bird species. The park’s unique climate and vegetation support endangered wildlife such as the red panda and musk deer. Named after the Neora River flowing through it, the landscape features virgin forests, lush valleys, sparkling streams, and snowcapped Himalayan peaks, creating a truly breathtaking natural retreat.

Day 01: Arrive Bagdogra drive to Lava 3.5 - 4 hrs drive.

Day 02: Morning and evening birding in Lava, Rishop and Loleygaon.

Day 03: Birding around Neora valley.

Day 04: Drive to Darjeeling on the way birding

Day 05: Birding around Darjeeling

Day 06: Drive to Latpanchar and afternoon birding in Latpanchar

Day 07: Drive to Bagdogra (3 hrs) and fly back home
