The Lhaba Pass Trek (4,200 m) is one of the most pristine and scenic treks in North Sikkim, starting from Lachung. The trail showcases stunning Himalayan landscapes with snow-capped peaks, waterfalls, rivers, and vibrant alpine flora including rhododendrons, blue poppies, primulas, magnolias, and rare orchids. Flowing through the Yangthang Valley, one of the feeders of the Teesta River, the trek is a naturalist’s paradise. North Sikkim is rich in biodiversity and cultural heritage, inhabited mainly by the Bhutia and Lepcha tribes. With abundant wildflowers, lush forests, and peaceful surroundings, this trek reveals the hidden treasures of North Sikkim.
