From Nepal the nearest airport is Bhadrapur 174 kms 6-7 hrs drive.
Closest railway station is New Jalpaiguri railway station, Trains are connected from New Delhi, Kolkata and Gauhati. National Highway (NH 31A) connects Sikkim with Siliguri, Jaigaon (Phuntsolling) bordering Bhutan and Kakarvita in Nepal border and other important cities in India like kolkata. Sikkim is well connected by all season motorable roads.
In addition to Indian Visa, foreign nationals must obtain Inner line permit (ILP) to visit Sikkim. The permits can be obtained from all Indian missions /Embassies/ Consulates. Sikkim Tourism Office – New Delhi, Kolkata and Sikkim Tourism Office – Siliguri, Rangpo and Melli checkpoint.
